Everybody knows that speeches should have a little joke or something funny in them in order to make everyone laugh, but how do we do that without embarrassing the bride or the groom by telling a story too personal? You should always mix up humor, honesty and emotion. If you do this you will definitely create a great
speech.
The best thing you can do is to combine the humorous moments with serious wedding stuff. This way you will create a

Your humor should always be specific. What I mean by that is you should really make jokes that will make everyone laugh, not just the young ones or the other way around. Never make a joke on what you and the bride did when you were in collage. No one wants to know what you did after you got drunk at the first Omega Fraternity House. A joke like this could easily make everyone sad and you could really risk making the bride very angry. Think twice before your speech and ask a friend if what you want to say as a joke could offend the couple. If they say that this is not appropriate please remove it. You should not be sober but you should remember that you should not be drunk either! You can easily drink more after you said your speech :)
